After a great win against Port Talbot 2 weeks ago, Longlevens were on the road again, this time against Stafford and were looking to back this up with another great performance.

It started brightly for Longlevens as they scored within the first 5 minutes after a crossfield kick from Fly Half Zack Fisher was caught by Connor Scantlebury to go under the posts and score. After this try, the next 15 minutes had another 3 tries, 2 for Stafford and one for Longlevens through Zack. Longlevens then took control of the game with scoring another 4 tries before half time with Paul Watson, Jack Giles, Jordan Rankinwoodhouse all scoring as well as Connor getting his second of the day. Half time score was 40-14

Not long after kick off for the second half, Longlevens scored 2 quick fire tries through Ethan O’Loughlin and Elijah Mei. Due to the score being 54-14 at the time, the lads switched off a little bit and after some good work by the big forwards of Stafford they managed to get 2 tries bringing the score to 54-24. The lads woke up again after this with Ethan scoring again and Connor completing his hat-trick following a carbon copy of his first try. Stafford managed to get another try, again through big carries in the forwards. The final try was scored by Ethan to complete his hat-trick. Final score was 73-31.

All the try scorers came from the starting back line, as the players used the shape they had been practicing in training which allowed the backs the platform to attack and attack very well. Next game is at home on 29th March against Derby.
