Longlevens started their season with a home fixture against Stafford despite the weather from the day before, it was excellent conditions for the boys to play.
Longlevens started very brightly with two early tries coming in quick succession from Connor Scantlebury and Zack Fisher but Stafford managed to get one back. This spured the team on who managed to find holes in the Stafford defence. Longlevens scored another 4 tries before half time, including a first try from Ronan Ludlow. Half time it was 36-7.
Longlevens took their foot off the pedal after half time which allowed Stafford more possession of the ball but there was no further score for another 15 minutes until Shane Daley scored the final Longlevens try of the day. In the last 5 minutes of the game Stafford managed to get two tries after finally breaking down the Longlevens defence. Final score was 41-17 to LRFC MAR.
