Under bright but cold skies with a swirling wind, Longlevens Men’s Mixed Ability Rugby produced a dominant display to secure a 49–15 victory over a determined Yeovil side.
Uncharacteristically, Longlevens burst out of the blocks like a team with a deadline to meet. Slick handling and direct running saw them rack up four early tries, two converted, before Yeovil had a real foothold in the game. It was fast, clinical, and just a little bit ruthless.
But Yeovil weren’t there to make up the numbers. They dug in, found some rhythm, and began to ask questions with the Longlevens try line under siege. Their persistence paid off as they clawed their way back to 10–24, shifting momentum and giving Longlevens something to think about.
That spark, however, only seemed to refocus Longlevens. With renewed physicality and control, they tightened things up, dominated the gain line, and added further scores to pull clear and close out a well-earned win.

Back of the Match – Rob
A defensive brick wall. Anything that came down his channel was firmly dealt with, backed up by strong, direct carries that kept Longlevens moving forward.
Forward of the Match – Andy
Led from the front with fearless carries, repeatedly stepping into contact and never taking a backward step. Proper engine-room performance.
Dick of the Day – Fish
Not for his swan diving try-scoring exploits, but for the tactical masterstroke of handing the playing kit to the slowest driver… who then arrived 20 minutes late.
The players did their coaches proud with a great performance. Thanks to Yeovil for hosting a great afternoon - hopefully see you soon.
