Longlevens started off very brightly from an excellent ‘cross field’ kick from Ed Glanville, assisting the first try at the early stages of the game. Longlevens followed this up within the first half, scoring two further try’s. Twenty minutes into what was a fiercely contended match, Longlevens found themselves reduced to fourteen men. However, they lead at half-time 17-5.
Luctonians pulled themselves right back into the game in the second half. Scoring twice to bring themselves within two points of Longlevens.
The home side, reduced to fourteen players, played with great heart against a tough side who were intent on ruining the day for the Longlevens. A well deserved fourth try kept the visitor at bay and brought about a nervy win for the Longlevens Colts.
