Longlevens put on a record-breaking score on Saturday to put a century past Swindon for the second time this season.
To their credit, Swindon turned up with a bare 15 and could have cried off, so we were very grateful for the game.
As you can imagine scores came at regular intervals and 19 tries were scored in total.
For the first 20 minutes Swindon were difficult to break down and only two tries were bagged. The first of these came from Isaac Meredith, who finished well in the corner, followed by Matt Fatica, who bounced three players to go over, 14-0.
The floodgates then opened, with tries being scored every three to five minutes. Meredith got his hattrick, with fellow winger, Jake Fox getting two and Lewis Locke, James Butler and Brad Wilkins adding to the tally. The half time score was 57-0.
The second half scoring was opened by debutant, Kevin Van-Der-Leest, who had a great first game, swiftly followed by a second for Wilkins, two for Jack Cuthbert and a hattrick score for Fox.
Fox was having the time of his life on the right wing and was even able to gift tries to Jaiden Vance and Piers Fortey. The scoring was finished by Joe Weatherley, with Wilkins adding his 14th conversion to make the final score 123-0.
The game ended up being more of a training game and it was useful to go through the structure and plays ready for the big away game against Trowbridge on 22nd March.
Fair play to Swindon, there wouldn’t have been a game without them and we hope things improve for them moving forward, #UTFG
