Longlevens travelled to Old pats looking to progress to the last 16 of the national cup. With a decent crowd supporting both sides the game started off at a fast pace. an early penalty from longlevens put them 3-0 up, straight from kickoff Old pats pressured the Longlevens defence and scored a try conversion was successful 7-3. Old pats continued to pressure Longlevens the away side conceding a couple of penalties allowed Old pats to gain metres up the pitch resulting in Old pats scoring again conversion successful 14-3 , Longlevens trying to take pressure of themselves over done it in the middle of the park turn over ball resulted in Old pats going wide and scoring in the corner conversion missed 19-3.

Longlevens started to build momentum and play further up the pitch pressuring the Old pats defence but unable to get over the try line,Old pats withstood the pressure and turned over the ball gaining metres up the pitch and scoring conversion successful 26-3. Longlevens were penalised at the breakdown allowing Old pats to convert the resulting penalty 29-3 with there tails up Old pats continued to move the ball wide looking to break the defence a intercepted pass from replacement Fullback James Moseley run in to score conversion successful from Seb Pascoe. Changes were made to freshen up the Longlevens pack and back line, straight from kickoff Longlevens pressured the Old pats defence continuing to push them back Old pats were penalised at the breakdown eventually resulting in Longlevens going over from close range from Evan Smith conversion successful from Seb Pascoe. 29-17 Longlevens game plan and composure was excelling and Old pats struggled to gain momentum, pressure from Longlevens resulted in the ball being turned over Old pats with stood the onslaught until the ref penalised Old pats from being offside a quick tap penalty from Piers Fortey feeding Callum McLean to dive over from close range conversion successful 29-24. Longlevens continued to manage the game plan and we’re continuing to press well keeping Old pats in there own half until an over throw from the line out in Old pats 22 resulted Old pats to kick and chase and score in the opposite corner conversion missed 34-24.

With the game far from over both teams continued to push each other, a well timed kick from Old pats fly half putting the ball in to touch 5 metres from the Longlevens try line resulted in Old pats catching a driving over. Conversion missed 39-24 final score.
