Longlevens Rugby 2nd team travelled to Tewkesbury for the first game of the year and started in the best possible fashion with a convincing win. Longlevens scored some lovely tries with the hard work on the training ground coming up trumps with some lovely moves resulting in tries, the scoring was started off with the impressive Carlos Jenkins who also tackled and chased well all game, further tries were scored my fly half Ben Furley, full back Jake fox scored a great at trick, Harvey Walshingham also crossed the whitewash. The try of the day came from the captain Martin Deacon who broke free of an attempted tackle on halfway then galloped his way to the try line. Full credit to Tewksbury who in the second half kept Longlevens to only 2 tries. Good Longlevens defence made sure that despite all Tewksbury’s efforts they could not break the Longlevens line leaving the final score 50-0. A great start to the year with first and seconds getting good wins away from home.
