The weather provided us with Strong wind from south west, which mixed with driving rain made the game Cold, wet and windy .
2 mins – A try from RWB, a Scrum for Longlevens was struck against the props leg then bounced back into the RWB scrum. The number eight picked up from the base and fed to the centre on the blind who passed to winger to score in corner. Conversion was converted. 7-0 30 mins - try from RWB, sustained pressure on 5 yds line with three-line outs in close succession eventually allowed RWB to have clean ball from a driving maul to pass out wide to winger to score. Conversion good 14-0

40 mins - Try from RWB, A well worked line out catch and drive from 10 yds falls short then a pick and go by the prop scores over the line. No Conversion 19-0 55 mins try from Longlevens- Sustained pressure in the RWB 22 made the home side give away 3 penalty’s in succession, this then allowed a quick tap and pass for Connor Rodway to score . No conversion 19-5 60 mins RWB try – A Poor exit kick from longlevens allowed the fullback to counter attack, 3 phases of clean ruck ball then enable the number 9 to provide a quick pop to second row to run through a gap in the Longlevens defence and score . Conversion Good

Longlevens came up against a well Drilled and organised Royal Wootton Bassett side that played the weather conditions better on the day and made fewer overall mistakes. Some good pointers to work on at Training for the return fixture in 2 weeks’ time.
