Longlevens travelled to Painswick for their first ever league game.
The occasion got to the lads early on with Longlevens looking nervous and resulted in Painswick scoring a try through their centre.
Longlevens were next to score with the impressing J Moseley scoring his first senior try making a good break on the outside then dummying the full back to finish off a nice solo run.
The rest of the second half Painswick controlled the ball well using their much bigger pack to keep Longlevens on the back foot, there was another piece of brilliance from Moseley but sadly dropping the ball when over the line meant the score line at half time was 19-7.
Longlevens kicked off and for the first part of the second half struggled to get any real phases of play together, this resulted in Painswick getting their fourth try of the game leaving the score 24-7.
To Longlevens credit the last 15 minutes was all Longlevens with Painswick struggling to get the ball and giving away endless penalties resulting in a yellow card, and Longlevens being able to score 2 tries through W.Kemmit and the last score with the last play coming from the hard working L.Bosely, meaning the lads come away with a losing bonus point from the game and final score 24-19.
The talk after was how we wanted and need to start games how we finished this one, it was an impressive and controlled last 15 minutes which give the lads something to build on for future games.
