Longlevens Rugby 2nd team travelled to Cheltenham civil service to play Norton – Warpigs RFC, and in difficult conditions produced a dominate display and another convincing victory was gained.
Longlevens played the first half with the wind on their backs this made it easy to keep Norton in there half with it being impossible to kick into the wind.
The first score inside the first 5 minutes was for winger Jaiden Vance, this was followed quickly with Norton trying to play out there half, Harry Morris read the pass and ran in from half way 10-0.
Liam Murphy was next to score after Ben Furley kicked long, the ball was juggled by the Norton fall back meaning all Murphy had to do was dive on the ball, the try was converted by Furley 17-0
Koby Wynn was next to score after another strong carry he found himself on a short pop to dive over 22-0
Longlevens got another try before half time a chip through by Furley fell into the arms of Jaiden Vance for his second 29-0 at half time.
Longlevens knew that even with a convincing lead the wind would mean the game was not won and they would need to work hard playing against the wind.
Longlevens played some good rugby and the handling skills in difficult conditions were very good. A score soon followed for Euan Williams 36-0. There were 2 more scores for Longlevens which for second week in a row meant the half century of points were reached 50-0 first was a second for Harry Morris and this was followed by Henry York getting in the score sheet.
With the game won and the lads looking for the final whistle Norton scored 2 deserved tries in the corner either side of a try for Ryan Graham, leaving the final score 55-10.
For the second week in a row Longlevens dominated the game, the next league fixture sees them facing top of the table Tewkesbury, which will be a test to see if they can produce the same positive performances as they have done the previous 2 weeks.
