Longlevens colts hosted Chosen hill colts who made the short trip to Longford lane with a depleted squad but credit to them for still coming with the squad they did. Longlevens also had a few players missing through unavailability and illness but still managed to put out a decent squad.
Longlevens started to the game well but an error in the midfield allowed chosen hill to kick through, collect and score the 1st try conversion was successful, Longlevens continued pressure from the forwards didn’t allow chosen hill to progress into Longlevens half and wasn’t long till Longlevens had there 1st try. Longlevens continued to try and get more points onboard but a strong defensive line from Chosen hill along with poor handling and soft penalties kept the score to 7-5.
Longlevens reshuffled the pack and try and put pressure on Chosen hill which it Longlevens eventually did and resulted in the 2nd try. 12-7 HT.
Longlevens started the stronger of the 2 sides and turned the advantage in to points early in the 2nd half 19-7 Longlevens continued with high tempo and control of the game and put more points on the board running in the 4th try and gaining the bonus point. Credit to Chosen hill who defend well and absorbed the pressure from Longlevens. poor handling and continued soft penalties stopped Longlevens adding more points.
after a short delay with an injury Longlevens score there 5th and final try.
Final score 29-7.
Colts are currently 10 wins out of 10 in the development league and face tough game away at Cirencester in the next game.
