Longlevens Rugby 2nd team hosted Old Cryptians RFC looking to get back to winning ways.
The last few games Longlevens have played well but with dip in concentration in games allowing teams to get ahead of them, this week was different with a good 80 minute performance.
The first try come from clever thinking from a quick line out allowed Jaiden Vance in to score 7-0.
Next score quickly followed after a good break from Ben Furley allowed him to draw in the full back and the pass found Liam Murphy to score under the posts 14-0
Next try soon followed after keeping possession, debutant Ryan Graham cut a short line to score 21-0
There was time for one more score before half time another debutant Rowan Masters found himself on the wide outside to score a great team try with off the top line out ball resulting in him scoring in the corner 26-0
Half time and it was an impressive first half from Longlevens.
Second half Longlevens kept up the performance and to keep the score board ticking captain Martin Deacon decided to take the post and Ben Furley converted 29-0
Veteran Winger Mike Yorke was next on the score board bouncing off defenders after a inside ball from Furley, Yorke found his way clear to score 36-0
The next score soon followed with Old Cryptians going through phases good pressure forced a loose pass which Liam Murphy pounced to run in from his own half to score his second of the game 43-0.
The last score of the game was good phases finding Jaiden Vance who used his pace to go over the line and the half century was up 50-0.
The last 5 minutes Longlevens defended their line as if the result depended on it, great physical defending held Old Cryptians out and kept them to nil.
This was a great result for Longlevens 2nd team, against a 1st team who were 3rd in the league and going well.
Next up Longlevens travel to Norton RFC looking to build on this impressive result.
