Longlevens Rugby 2nds team travelled to Cirencester RFC in what turned out to be the hardest challenge they have faced for a few weeks. Ciren stated the game using there big, experienced side to make ground and put Longlevens on the back foot, this resulted in Ciren scoring 2 tries and getting 12-0 up inside 25 minutes. The conditions and the slope on the pitch meant Longlevens were struggling to get there usual flow to the game, a lose kick from Ciren was picked up by Harry Huntley who got on the outside to score his first of the afternoon, Ciren then responded with there third score of the afternoon and Longlevens needed to dig in for the last 10 minutes with the slope being a major advantage to Ciren in the first half, Longlevens did one better than this with the whistle about to blow for the end of the 1st half the forwards made good ground and set up the first real chance for the backs to use there hands and get on the outside of the Ciren side which resulted in good hands and Harry Hunter getting his second of the afternoon finishing in the corner. Leaving longlevens a score behind at half time 14-19.

The talk at half time was not to panic knowing the older and bigger Ciren side would find it a struggle up the slope in the second half, Longlevens knew they had to up the tempo when ever they could. That was exactly how the second half went with Longlevens finally keeping hold of the ball and going through phases the ball made its way to Zak Fisher to score, now Longlevens were in control and kept running Ciren side around and two more scores followed one for scrum half Bill Hambling and the final score with last play of game coming from Robin Hanman This was a good test for the seconds and one they needed with another tough game to come next Saturday against Ledbury, full credit to the lads for sticking it out in the first half and allowing us to get the win down the slope in the second half. Final score Cirencester RFC 2nds 19 Longlevens Rugby 2nds 33
