Longlevens Rugby 2nds welcomed Old Cryptians RFC 2nds to Longford lane for a league game to keep there chances of winning the league alive a win was needed and it was fine in emphatic style with a 108-0 victory with 18 tries scored.
The first half saw 60 points scored with tries coming thick and fast the first was a well worked try with ball going from winger to winger before Dave York finished first try, the second was from a scrum against head Carlos Jenkins ran over, the next was a great break at middle from restart from Henry Garner before ball found its way to Will Kemmet who was playing in his unusual position of fly half.
The next score was quickly followed a break by prop Ollie Smith allowed Iman Hussain to get his first of three tries. A quickly taken penalty allowed Andrew Kilby to get on the score sheet next, four more tries followed before half time with Iman Hussain getting his second Zak Fish was next after a Carlos Jenkins break, next was Jaden Vance after a break by Zak Fisher who offloaded to Ollie smith who showed great pace before a lovely offload for Jaiden Vance.
Zak Fisher was next to get his second try after intercepting a wild cryptians pass before Jack Muncaster finished the half with a try to leave the half time score 60-0.
Half time was all about not letting off and playing for a full 80 mins and with 8 further scores in second half Longlevens didn’t allow Cryptians into the game first was a score for Ollie Smith , then was a try for the returning Harry Huntley, Iman Hussain secured his hattrick score next before Will Kemmet got his second.
Next to score was Euen Williams Jaden Vance then scored his second under the post before Euen Williams scored his second to get the score to 103-0. There was time for one final score for James Moseley.
It was good to finally achieve a big score after having games where we had taken the foot of the peddle.
The remaining two games for the seconds are two tough games first against Cheltenham away and a winner takes all showdown against Painswick at Longford Lane on the last league game of the season.
