It was a cold and cloudy day in Longlevens as Longlevens welcomed the Derby Bucks. Derby started the stronger side and managed to get on the score board after a few missed tackles the derby number four went over for the first try which was converted. After this Longlevens got into the game and got their first try. Connor Scantlebury used his incredible feet to get out of a few attempted tackles and broke the line and went on to score in the corner. The Longlevens then got into the lead when fly half Zack Fisher delivered a cross field kick which was collected by Jez Wilson who used his feet and evaded some tackles to score. Half time 10-7 to Longlevens

Derby Bucks started the second half the stronger side as they got it out wide and scored in the corner. They managed to get the conversion. Then Zack fisher used his ridiculous feet and broke the line and scored in the corner for Longlevens. Derby not long after got another try after one of their forwards powered over. Longlevens got another try as they got the ball wide and Jez Wilson stepped the on coming defender and used his pace to get to score for longlevens. Derby then got another try they worked it well to the wide and they scored in the corner. They got the conversion to make it 26-20 to Derby with two minutes to go. Longlevens got a few penalties on the bounce, and they got into Derby’s half. Longlevens fly half Zack Fisher used his scintillating speed to go through a gap and score under the posts. To make it 25-26 to derby with the conversion to come. It was down to Centre Jordan Rakingwoodhouse would he get the conversion. Conversion successful Longlevens win 27-26. Credit to the whole Longlevens squad who didn’t give up and got the win in the end.

Man of the match- Reece Joyner. Reece was so good in attack and exceptional in defense. He played extremely well and truly deserved his man of the match award well done Reece.
