Longlevens 2nds travelled to Gordon League for a friendly on Saturday and managed to put in a good performance despite the horrendous on and off conditions.
The try scoring was started off early doors with a strong carry from Ollie Deacon crashing over for levens first try. Converted by Zak Oliver. With the weather playing its part the game was tight and physical and Longlevens managed to hold of Gordon League for some time on their own line.
More pressure came from Levens as new recruit Dave Hughes managed to crash over on debut for the club, closely followed by Kempy crashing over in the corner.
Gordon League started the 2nd half strongest and grabbed a good try of their own after going from their own half. However, longlevens managed to regain control and four 2nd half tries coming from Kai Philips, Joe Rakasate, Carlos Jenkins and Mike Yorke ensured it was a good afternoon for Longlevens despite the rain.
Final score 41-5 to Longlevens.
