A young Longlevens side travelled to Widden Old Boys RFC looking to get their second victory in the league. Longlevens game plan was clear against a big widden side they had to use there pacy team to get around them, inside first 3 minutes Levens had the dream start after a few phases of play getting levens into the 22 the impressive Ben Furley did a neat show and go before scoring under the posts. From the restart levens spread the ball wide resulting in Widden giving away a penalty captain Marti Deacon opted to put the ball into the corner the levens pack attempted a drive but were held up by the big widden pack, but the result meant the ball could be spread wide for Will kemmett to score in the corner the dream start 12-0 inside 10 minutes.

The next 10 minutes were all widen, levens over playing in there 22 resulted in the widden 9 picking up and scoring, due to levens indiscipline 2 widden penalties followed leaving widden leading 13-12 This was the kick up the backside levens needed and from then on levens followed the game plan of keeping ball and playing wider which resulted in Oliver Deacon flopping over for the first of his 2 tries.

The next score came from good hands with the ball coming to Furley who put a neat chip through for Harvey Walshingham to collect who offloaded to Zack Fisher to score under the posts leaving the score 24-13, there was time was 1 more score in the half. Neat play got the ball wide to Andrew Kilby what drew his winger with an inside pass to Henry York to score. Half time score 31-13.

Levens scored straight from the restart the impressive Jack Cuthbert who grew into the game to earn man of the match got the ball wide to Jamie Fox to score.

Penalties given away allowed widden another score when there big number 8 picked up from the back of a scrum to make it 38-20. Levens scored next with a excellant offload by Jack Cuthbert to the captain Mratin Deacon to finish under the posts.

The next score was again ball wide to Kilby who went inches from the line which allowed Oliver Deacon to power over for the second of  his 2 tries coming from a combination of 1 meter out, a cracking touchline conversion by Ben Furley made the score 52-20.

New scrum half Mathew Snyder should of finished the scoring but a sniper got him in the trees but Peter DeKein was there to pick up and finish the try and end the game leaving the score 59-20.

A second win in the league for the griffins 2s they face Tewksbury next week where they will hope to continue their winning ways in the league. A great day for the club with both teams winning, plenty more of that to come throughout the season.
